Digital TV
The UK is in the middle of a massive switchover to Digital TV which will bring many new channels with crystal clear Digital (and sometimes HD) quality reception. During this period, you could experience reception problems within your hotel on more than one occasion, as frequencies are changed and new channels are introduced. The schedules for these alterations are subject to change, but the latest information is always available at www.digitaluk.co.uk. Most multi-TV sites like hotels, hospitals and colleges will need to identify the dates for retuning and prepare an action plan for the switchover day. Questions to be asked include
1. Are my TVs already digital (Freeview Ready) and do I understand how to retune them?
2. If my TVs are Professional Hotel TVs do I have the correct equipment in order to clone the settings from one TV to another, which will speed up the process?
3. Is there head-end equipment (like and amplifier or filter) which will need resetting by a professional?
4. Are my TVs receiving a signal via a channelized head-end system which will require professional retuning?
