Smoovie® is the simplest and most cost effective Pay TV system in the hotel industry, and the revolutionary product has been developed with input from the electronics giant, Philips.
The Smoovie® works exclusively in conjunction with Philips Pro+ and System hotel televisions, without the need for any other in-room equipment or cabling.
The guest simply buys the Smoovie® at reception (or a vending machine/ minibar), and can enjoy 24 unrestricted access to all Pay TV channels. The guest can keep the remote and after 24 hours it will work the guests Philips TV at home! We also supply Smoovies which work for 4 and 7 day periods for guests who stay for extended periods.
State of the Art Digital File Server
A choice of top Hollywood movies plays in the hotel via a state of the art digital file server which is installed and commissioned by Airwave Europe.
This file server is housed in a cabinet and connected onto the existing hotel network. The Philips iTVs are then reset to work with Smoovie®, which takes a couple of minutes per room.
In Room Promotion
Within the Hotel room the Smoovie® is also being heavily promoted via the in-room replacement remote and also on the constantly running Pay TV information channel, which shows trailers of the movies playing and gives details of the scheduled play times.
Smoovie Electronic POS rack
The movies are promoted at the Front Desk by the Smoovie Electronic POS rack, which explains the concept and acts as a secure storage unit for the Smoovies.
