Day 19 at Chestnut Tree House Children's Hospice
25 March 2019 18:30
In line with Airwave's CSR policy, each employee is given an extra day's holiday to be used for charitable purposes - this initiative, commencing in 2019 is called "Day 19".
On Monday 25th March, seven members of the team spent a day gardening at partner charity, Chestnut Tree House. Tasks were varied and included weeding, edging, deadheading, sweeping and nettle and leaf clearing. The sun was bright and spirits were high as the Airwave team deadheaded daffodils, wheeled wheelbarrows and weeded paths and borders.
"It was a beautiful sunny day, enjoyed by all members of the team" said marketing manager James Grant "but of course, the weather was an afterthought - it was great to help this incredible cause. We look forward to the next one".
Throughout the year, Airwave employees will complete a series of activities, supporting Chestnut Tree House and Guild Care and will compete in a fund-raising endurance event. Keep watching for more details!
