Harbour Beach Club & Hotel

The Brand

Harbour Hotels own 15 properties in in Dorset, Hampshire, Sussex, Surrey, Devon and Cornwall.

With each hotel positioned in a desirable location (many off which, as the names suggests, on a seafront) the seaside-themed brand pride themselves on first class facilities, luxurious bedrooms and excellent in-house restaurants.


The Hotel

Launched in 2022, Harbour Beach Club sits on South Sands Beach in Salcombe, Devon, and offers 44 individually designed rooms and six stunning suites, with glorious ocean views aplenty.

Featuring a beachfront restaurant, indoor pool & spa and a full programme of events -  such as sunrise beach yoga, guided coastal hikes and kayaking, the Beach Club offers a veritable feast of activities for its lucky guests.


The Technology

The more facilities and activities offered by a hotel, the greater the requirement for an interface to pull the information together.

In the Harbour Beach Club's case, Otrum's Mirage interactive information system offered the perfect vehicle to do this.


Harbour used Mirage's interface to hold a list of activities, including: local area information, restaurant details (with corresponding menus), shuttle & ferry timetables and spa packages.



Of course, the trusty hotel information system isn't just used for the dissemination of information, it also provides a handy receptacle for the provision of OTT content. 

On this occasion, Airwave implemented pages containing:
- Smart apps, including BBC iPlayer, ITV Hub, All 4 and YouTube
- The cloud-based VOD streaming app, Airtime
- Hospitality certified Google Chromecast, allowing guests to cast content from a smart device to the in-room TV
In-room TV technology was housed in wall-mounted 43-inch Samsung 690 Series TVs.
We loved implementing a guestroom entertainment system within the Harbour Beach Club,  it's a truly wonderful place, and we're delighted to have played a small part in augmenting the guest experience!
