The much loved Center Parcs brand is a British institution, offering family-based activity holidays at six wooded locations, across the UK and Ireland.

Each location features natural forest landscapes, a range of lodges & apartments (and treehouses!) and a glut of activities, including watersport lakes, spas and subtropical swimming environments.

Airwave is proud to be Center Parcs’ official AV partner, supplying and installing hospitality TV systems, digital signage and audio equipment since 2006.

Via the installation of hospitality TVs, brackets and media interface panels, work is predominantly carried out in guest accommodation, however Airwave also provide signage solutions and audio equipment to Center Parcs' various public areas.

Key projects in this time include:

• a 1,900 TV installation over a 3 month schedule at Center Parcs Woburn Forest in Bedfordshire
• a 1,300 TV installation over a 3 month schedule at Center Parcs' first Irish site, Longford Forest, County Longford
• multiple video wall installations in each site's Sports Cafe
• an ongoing refurbishment programme across all sites

Both the Woburn and Longford projects were new build, and due to the size and scale of the parks (and the timeframe involved), were a major logistical undertaking. The rapid evolution of TV technology added another layer of complexity - Airwave needed to ensure that all technology implemented was cutting-edge, standing the test of time for a number of years.

The scale and scope of the Center Parcs estate is vast, and with each site having its own personality, we need to offer different technologies to suit the different situations.

With numerous accommodation types and a 97% occupancy rate, the installation process can be complicated!  However, it’s a challenge we relish and look forward to continuing.
