The Hotel
Forming part of the Handy Cross Hub development, Hampton by Hilton High Wycombe is handily located, sitting across from junction 4 of the M40, and off the A404 linking High Wycombe and Marlow.
Built in 2021, the property is the first UK new build to represent the Hampton by Hilton's brand’s 'new generation prototype', part of the brand's recent refresh.
The property offers a spacious environment with efficiently design, modern amenities - including an onsite restaurant, cafe, bar, fitness centre, business hub and electric vehicle charging points.
The Technology
As with most new build properties, Airwave's work commenced on the roof and comms room, with the installation of a reception rig incorporating a Freeview DVT aerial and two satellite dishes. These enable the delivery of a full line-up of Freeview TV channels, a selection of international channels and 4 x BT Sports channels (to be fed to public area TVs).
A Samsung REACH RF interactive information system was designed, and embedded on each of the hotel's 150 guest room TVS - on this occasion, the choice being 55-inch Samsung ET690 Series displays.
Each display was wall-mounted on B-Tech ultra-slim wall brackets, in accordance with Hampton's efficient use of space ethos.
Further 55-inch displays were wall-mounted in the hotel's public areas, including two screens in the bar area, and screens in the fitness centre, meeting room and the staff canteen.
