Active since 1955, the YTL Corporation Berhad is an integrated infrastructure developer, with operations in Asia, Europe and Australia. The brand's key activites include utilities, property development, construction contracting and hotels & resorts.
YTL Hotels own and manage a collection of hotels and resorts in Malaysia, Australia, China, Indonesia, Japan, Thailand, and United Kingdom.
In 2003, the 170-year old Lady Glenorchy Church was carefully converted into a 77 bedroom property, known now as YTL's Glasshouse Hotel.
Fizzing with charm, history and character, the five-star hotel is considered one of the finest places to stay in Edinburgh, featuring cosy-contemporary interiors and spectacular views across Scotland's stunning capital. Floor-to-ceiling windows add extra splendour to the view, and guests enjoy premium amenities, including air conditioning, heated bathroom floors, fibre-optic WiFi and a complimentary minibar.
What's better than a complimentary minibar? Well, in our opinion, a five-star guestroom entertainment platform...
Airwave was naturally delighted to work with the Glasshouse (and other YTL brands: Monkey Island Estate, The Gainsborough, Threadneedles and The Academy), in the implementation of a top drawer TV system.
Airwave flat-to-wall mounted 77 x LG hospitality series displays across the hotel's three floors. Models included:
32-inch LT661H Series / 43-inch US662H Series / 50-inch UR762H Series / 55-inch UR762H Series
An Otrum Mirage guestroom entertainment system was embedded on each display, providing a customisable user interface and access to features, including the hotel's marketing video, f&b menus and a Connect Your Device page, offering casting functionality via commercially certified Google Chromecast.
