The Hotel
The Abbey Hotel sits over three interconnected 18th-century townhouses, in the beating heart of Bath's vibrant city and a stone's throw from Bath Abbey and the Roman Baths.
Uniquely presented - much in part due to the art collecting previous owners - and featuring a restaurant modelled by Marco Pierre White and Pierre Koffmann, the Abbey provides a luxurious, boutique experience in one of England's prettiest cities.
The Project
Abbey were keen to provide both an information and entertainment element to their new TV system, also needing some backend infrastructure to support the new technology.
Required infrastructure included satellite, aerial and headend equipment, all were duly installed ahead of the arrival of the hotel's new TVs.
A mixture of 43-inch and 55-inch Samsung EJ690U Series hospitality TV's were wall-mounted on BTech brackets. Samsung's EJ series feature cutting edge design, UHD displays, a HDR10+ picture engine and a centralised management system.
An Otrum Enterprise information system was implemented on each TV. Built on an HTML foundation, Enterprise is a powerful software platform, delivering a seamless user experience across TVs, tablets and smartphones. Using a web-based content management system, Enterprise enables users to quickly and easily design and upload content to the in-room TV.
