Woburn is the latest addition to the Center Parcs portfolio, and is a 365 acre forest site located just one hour from London. During its construction phase, it was the largest leisure project in Europe and Airwave was delighted to have been appointed to supply and install televisions, for all guest rooms and venues throughout the site. Airwave has been the main TV supplier to Center Parcs now for over five years and maintains all the televisions across the entire estate.LG was the chosen television brand for Woburn, primarily because of its Freeview HD facility and the Pro:Centric information system, which informs guests of activities available on a daily basis. The system also provides the functionality to remotely tune and set features on all the televisions across the site.In all, Airwave supplied and installed over 2,000 x 42, 32 and 28 inch screens and Bluray players to the lodges which are nestled within a natural forest, as well to a centrally located 75 bedroomed hotel.
In the words of Toby Hart, Operations Director at Airwave “This was one of the most intense, but exciting projects that we have undertaken this year, as we had an exacting timetable with no room for slippage. The scale of the operation was incredible, as we were actually installing a small village.”
One of the great attractions in the central area is the Sports Bar, and Airwave installed the TVs on bespoke bracketary as well a magnificent 3 x 3 VideoWall comprising of 9 x 55 inch LG professional monitors to show off Live Sporting action in stunning HD. Center Parcs is known for its tropical
paradise swimming and recreational area, and Airwave supplied and installed large screen waterproof TVs for these locations.Trip Advisor reports show that Woburn has been a stunning success and Airwave is very pleased to continue to play its part in keeping their guests informed and entertained
