The Hotel

Ibis Styles Burton-on-Trent's brand new hotel offers 80 stylish rooms on the outskirts of picturesque Burton-on-Trent, Staffordshire.

A strategic Midlands location — close to East Midlands Airport, Burton-on-Trent train station and the A38 & A50 trunk roads — attracts a healthy mix of business and leisure travellers, all who benefit from the modern amenities, including a restaurant, bar, and fitness centre.

The Technology

In-room amenities include high-speed WiFi, tea & coffee making facilities, and a guest room entertainment system supplied, designed, and implemented by Airwave.

This was fronted by Samsung HG50AU8000 hospitality series displays flat-to-wall mounted on BTECH BT8210 brackets. A Uniguest Hub Interactive TV platform was implemented across the portfolio of screens, providing a fully customisable, branded interface on each TV display. On this occasion, Hub Interactive TV was used to create a simple interface, featuring three menu options:

- Watch TV - navigating users to a curated line-up of channels, supported by a 7-day EPG (electronic programme guide)

- Chromecast - allowing guests to cast their own media content from a smart device to the in-room TV

- Guest Information - housing salient information about the hotel and its amenities.
