The Brand

Point A Hotels is a UK-based hospitality brand operated by Queensway, focused on delivering well-designed, centrally located hotels. Independent and family-owned, Point A prioritises comfort, consistency, and value, offering clever, compact rooms and modern amenities.

With locations in key city centres, Point A hotels are designed for travellers who value smart design, reliable technology, and straightforward experiences. From booking to checkout, the emphasis is on ease of use, efficiency, and dependable quality across every property.

Technology plays a supporting role within the Point A model, quietly enhancing the guest experience while remaining simple to operate and easy to scale across the portfolio.

 

The Hotel

Rubbing shoulders with Westminster Abbey, the Houses of Parliament, and the London Eye, Point A Westminster boasts a fabulous location in the heart of central London. Situated a short stroll from Waterloo Station, the hotel serves a constant flow of leisure and business travellers.

In line with the wider Point A portfolio, the property's focus is on smart use of space, operational efficiency, and a consistent guest experience.

 

The Challenge

With just short of 100 guest rooms and busy public areas, the hotel required an in-room entertainment solution that would be intuitive for guests, simple for staff to manage, and robust enough to perform reliably in a bustling central London environment.

Airwave was asked to deliver a modern, branded TV and casting experience across guest rooms and public areas, with installation carefully phased and managed to minimise disruption to hotel operations and guest stays.

The Technology

Airwave delivered a fully branded, guest-first in-room entertainment platform designed to mirror the Point A ethos: intuitive and efficient.

Built around 32, 43, and 55-inch LG hospitality displays and the Uniguest Hub platform, the solution provides a simple, icon-led interface that guests can navigate easy and efficiently (no degree in logistics required). Preserving each room's low footprint aesthetic, each display was flat-to-wall mounted.

Live TV & Programme Guide: Clear, branded live TV with a simple electronic programme guide, centrally managed across the hotel.

Built-in Chromecast
Secure Google Cast via Uniguest CAST, letting guests stream their own content instantly from personal devices.

On-Demand Movies
Airtime's hospitality movie and programming streaming service, providing new-release blockbuster content.

Digital Room Guide & Guest Benefits & Offers: On-screen and QR-accessible hotel information, local guidance, in-room instructions, and value-added benefits — reducing calls to reception.

Professional wall mounting, structured cabling, phased installation, commissioning, and full project management ensured the system was delivered efficiently and to specification.
